Kayaking in the LBC

So this week is like my short little 10 day summer vacation before school starts again. We got to hang out with Christie and Steve this weekend before they left on their cruise...can we say jealous! We had lots of fun and I just thought I'd share some of our pictures.

We went kayaking in Long Beach and saw some cool jellyfish.

Camping in Seattle

So this post is extremely delayed and I have been informed that my blog has been slacking lately....so I decided to get with it and post some of our pics from our family reunion/camping trip with Taylor's family in Seattle.

We got to ride a ferry to the island where we camped. It was lots of fun and reminded me a lot of Grey's Anatomy :)

Here is the tent Taylor and I stayed in....I think the picture makes it look bigger than it actually was.


Taylor and I went on a bike ride into town. It was very "hill-ey" and we almost didn't make it. However the awesome helmets did help....



We had a great time making S'mores and sitting around the campfire!!

Trip up North

Couple weeks ago I was home visiting for a Girl's Weekend. My sister and her boys drove down from Reno and my sister in law and niece flew in from Utah. It was so much fun to see everyone. On Tuesday we went to San Francisco to see Hairspray.

After we finished eating, we went shopping. Apparently we shopped a little too long and instead of taking BART as planned, we had to hurry and grab a cab. We got to the Orpheum Theater just in time.

The play was so amazing!! Afterwards we waited along with the other 12 year old girls to meet and get our picture with Link....so dreamy! hahaha

It was a very hot weekend so we spent some time at the pool...

It was so much fun hanging out with all my cute nephews and niece



We went to the fair, which was so HOT, but fun!

So you think you can dance?????

Hey so I thought I would make a quick little post about a fun thing that happened this week. Not sure how many of you watch the TV show "So you think you can dance" but this past Monday my friend and I got tickets to go see the filming of it. It involved a lot of waiting in line, but was so worth it! At first we started off in "partially obstructed" view seats....which was code for sitting behind a wall. About halfway through the show some of the choreographers got up and left and they told us to go fill in their seats. So we got to sit in between the choreographers, which was amazing and awkward at the same time! So for those of you who watched the show on Wednesday night you may see me in a bright blue shirt in between Napolean and Tabitha. It was quite a fun experience. We also saw Lacey, Pascha, Ivan, and other dancers from previous seasons.

Memorial Day Weekend

My parents were able to come down and visit for the weekend. We started off our fun weekend with a Dodger's game where we were supposed to enjoy a lovely fireworks show after the game....however the lovely rain got in the way. What an experience! The game got delayed with one out left, wouldn't ya know? :) Oh well! We still had a great time and luckily none of us minded getting a little wet....

I am also happy to announce that as of Monday we are now the proud owners of Disneyland season passes! :) So Monday consisted of a wonderful day at the happiest place in the world...not "land" as Taylor likes to say (he is from Florida where they like to pretend Disneyworld is cooler.....i have never been so can't be sure). Either way we had a blast...


I have to say the Buzz ride just might be one of our top favorites....as you can tell my Dad was very into it :)
